11 A.M. - 1 P.M.

Hilton Memphis | 939 Ridge Lake Blvd.

The first-ever Leading in Literacy Awards & Luncheon was conceived not only to honor the past five decades but to inspire vision and action for the future. We invite you to join us for a special afternoon, as Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, NYT Bestselling Author, and Creator of the 1619 Project Nikole Hannah-Jones receives our inaugural Leading in Literacy Award. We are also honored to welcome Dr. Gholdy Muhammad, who will join Ms. Hannah-Jones in a discussion titled: "From Page to Power: Shaping the Future of Literacy in a Changing America."

We will also be honoring the recipient of our Local Leading in Literacy Award, Porter Leath’s Books from Birth, for their incredible dedication to and impact on early literacy in our community. Learn more about their work.

This event is sold out. Thank you for your overwhelming support!
